Millennials Rising: The Next Great Generation, by William Strauss and Neil Howe.This book, about a decade ago, marked my official foray into the study of generations. It rocked my world. As an early-wave GenXer myself, I could already tell that "today's kids" seemed different than I had been at their age. When a marketing project pushed me to study deeper how to reach middle-school age kids, I read this book. It was then that my own world view and understanding of generational theory opened.
I recommend the book, of course, as it is highly insightful into the life course of Millennials, our "next great generation." Relevant books providing insights into the Millennial generation:
